Left right, conservative liberal, red blue - there's enough polarization, not only in the U.S. but in Europe and elsewhere, to sink civilization. Let's offer a way for news and social commentary to exist within a shared context - within their own bias - that promotes both sides, so everyone can see.

Presumably, media outlets would not refuse because they are afraid. Or would they?

A collaboration between right and left news and social commentary.

Rush Limbaugh "The Rush Limbaugh Show is the most listened to radio talk show in America, broadcast on over 600 radio stations nationwide. It is hosted by America's Anchorman, Rush Limbaugh, also known as: America's Truth Detector; the Doctor of Democracy; the Most Dangerous Man in America; the All-Knowing, All-Sensing, All-Everything Maha Rushie; defender of motherhood, protector of fatherhood and an all-around good guy."

Mother Jones "Mother Jones is a nonprofit news organization that specializes in investigative, political, and social justice reporting. We currently have two main "platforms": an award-winning bimonthly national magazine (circulation 240,000), and a website featuring new, original reporting 24-7. (In the past we've had a radio show and TV specials; theme parks are in the conceptual stage.) Why should you read or support us? Because "smart, fearless journalism" keeps people informed—"informed" being pretty much indispensable to a democracy that actually works. Because we've been ahead of the curve time and again. Because this is journalism not funded by or beholden to corporations. Because we bust bullshit and get results. Because we're expanding our investigative coverage while the rest of the media are contracting. Because you can count on us to take no prisoners, cleave to no dogma, and tell it like it is. Plus we're pretty damn fun."

What makes this compelling?

Everyone is accustomed to the polarized world we now live in. But what if everyone could read news and commentary from opposing sides, side by side? No one should be fool enough to take this for dialog, but it would be a collaboration.

Just one model of what such a presentation might look like: www.newsofinterest.org

How to implement change.

For television, I'm not sure what the liberal equivalent of FOX is, but there are a few information resources that might lead the way in promoting such an idea as a collaboration of biased news and opinion.
Besides "Rush" and "Mother," here's two:

Our opinion of these groups.

If you like them, we like them - we're supportive, not "endorsive." The mission of OneSpace is to promote collaboration, plain and simple.
